I have a 75 g set up for over a year. 4 healthy fish.
1 royal grama 1 6 line wrasse 2 clowns. some blue leg crabs
and some scarlet crabs 1 emerald crab and 1 GBTA. along with
some various snails. All doing well. The only coral I have are
some green zooantids on a small rock. they were looking
pretty good for awhile and then I added new lights in fact I doubled
my lights to 500 watts of Metal Halide. They are not looking to healthy
right now. Sort of translucent. They have never flourished and multiplied.
Water chemistry good:
C 400
Mg 1100
Ph 8.2
Kh 8
The temp. does go from 76 to 80 every day when lights kick on. Is this
a big deal?
I put them down on the floor of tank and they stay open during the day.
And I even feed them occasionally. But I thought these guys were easy.
I want buy anything else until I know its not something else other than
too much light. Any thoughts??

Its easy to do!!! Especially if you had PC's before hand... A lot of the frags I get I have to start out under a overhang in complete shade and slowly acclimate them to the intensity of MH's... Think of yourself after a nice long winter... Then going on vacation in Hawaii or some Carribean paridise... And you go jumping out in your skivies to lay out on the beech all day... You'd be a bit burnt up too!!! Sure you were getting some sun... (winter sun = PC's) But things are a bit more intense down near the equator... (tropic sun= MH's)
