My fish keep dying

Came home from work one day to find my naso tang lying on its side with his belly bloated. In front of his belly towards his head it was really narrow. I took him out of the tank into qt. . He died that night. Now 3 months later my bar goby is showing the same symptoms. I qt. him. But I think he will die tonight, he looks really bad. Water parameters are good. The 4 remaining fish seem to be doing well. The only thing that is new to the tank is sand in my fuge which I bought at a fish store. What can kill fish so quickly? What do you think is killing my fish?

Even new sand should be QT'd before it's added to an established system; it could have had ich parasites or other infectuous agents.

There are no new fish in the system. All the fish have been togather for at least 1 year now.
Amonia-0
nitrite-0
nitrate-10(I know a little high I am working on it)
salinity-.024
These are the only test kits that I have.
Should I test any other paramiters for this problem?

The feeding schedule is 2x a day. They get a mix of formula1 flakes, formula 2 flakes, and spectrum. They get a small ammount every 12 hours. Once a week(on different days) they get frozen Brine schrimp and dried see weed.

The sure way to go is to remove all fish from the display tank to wait out the life cycles for parasites, which is generally 4-6 weeks. While the fish are in QT research their symptoms and purchase the appropriate medication to treat them. A fishless tank would be best for a while.

How long can parasites live in a tank with out fish showing symptoms? What is the best medication for parasites? My sailfin tang is now in trouble. I do not knowwhat is wrong. He is lathargic and not eating. What should I do?

I have a friend with a similar problem, he has had his tank for well over a year and recently (within the past 3 months) has lost 6 fish. He has FOWLR but water parameters are pristene enough for a full reef setup. What are some other causes for spontaneous die off? No signs of any disease on the bodies, all inverts are ok.
