What does everyone think about my fish list. Not sure if this is the order I should add them or if it even matters. Or is it to many? Any input would be nice, maybe even some other ideas of fish. Thanks

1. 2 percula clowns (already in tank)
2. Spotted Grunt...aka, sweetlips
3. Sailfin Tang
4. Royal Dottyback
5.. Royal Gamma
6. Lawnmower Blenny
7. Firefish Goby
8. Fairy Wrasse
9. 5-7 Blue/Green Chromis
10. Another tang to be determined

Here is a link to the spotted grunt. My lfs in toledo told me he puts them in all the tanks he maintains and never has a problem with them but i'm a little skeptical.

4. Royal Dottyback Gorgeous but will intimidate your firefish and fairy wrasse
5.. Royal Gamma
6. Lawnmower Blenny
7. Firefish Goby
8. Fairy Wrasse Depends which one
9. 5-7 Blue/Green Chromis Will likely winnow themselves down to 1 or 2
10. Another tang to be determined

You must have a 1000 gallon tank to be considering Spotted Sweetlips (Plectorhinchus chaetodonoides) for your tank but even then, it is an expert level fish. If your LFS told you to get this, you should consider a different LFS. But what sized tank do you have? I can't comment on the remainder of the stocking list without that information

Sorry, I have a 125 gallon tank. I knew the guy was full of crap when I looked up the sweetlips. He actually has them in his store selling them to people. tropical reef, toledo, ohio on mccord street.

Yeah, well, my previous advice not to listen to his advice holds. I will review your fish list again with the new information.

I would do only one tank and would look at Ctenochaetus tangs which are relatively docile tangs with good personalities. I would definitely not do the sailfin tang who we recommend having a 240 gallon tank for. The dottyback is highly aggressive and will almost certainly intimidate your firefish into hiding and eventual starvation. Many fairy wrasses are fin, but use careful selection to insure a nonaggressive species. Sounds like the LFS is recommending fish he has rather than fish that would work well for you.
