My Fox is dying

Does anyone know why my fox coral would suddenly start to lose it's soft flesh and start to show what looks like a coral skeletion?

All other corals, (soft and hard) seem to be doing okay. The only thing I can think of or even have noticed is my Lunar Wrass and a 4 stripe damsel are sort of picking at it, but that has only been in the last couple of days. The only other thing I noticed is that I'm missing a bunch of Blue and Red Hermits.

I added the wrass back in December or so and that's the only thing I can think of that might be causing this situatuation. I am really pretty new to the Marine hobby, so if there is anything you can do to help me save whats letf of my fox please let me know.

I could take a picture of the coral, i you think it will help you diagnos my problem.]
All water chemistry looks okay.

Thanks!
Ken

The reason I asked because one day I was talking to my boss at the lfs about more and more people are having problem with lps falling off the skeleton or shrinking tissue and eventually just perish. He told me that rumors among the traders are that certain holding facility is infected with some wierd disease and whatever lps has been through that place are pretty much doomed. You've probably seen threads about elegance coral too regarding them being a hardy coral in the 90's and suddenly becoming very hard to keep. Anyways, I don't know the reason behind all these but I just thought I wanted to share what I've heard about these lps problems lately.

My guess is that the fish are picking at it because it's dying, not causing the damage.
Can you post tank parameters and your feeding routine? More info might help. Sorry you're having trouble, foxes are gorgeous, one of my favourites.
