i finaly got one of my web cams up on line using eyespyfx. i dont know if i could put a link for it up here or not so just do a search for it on line. best part about it is its FREE! its a good way to look after the tank wile your away (good one for you Mr Squid :) ) the only thing is that is it only does one cam at a time :( but it works fairly nice and the refresh rate is not to bad neather. well it depends on how good of quality you set up the program for that is. i have mine set in the mid range. enough said here it is, like i said its the best i can do till i do a better frag tank that i hope to have the cam on a track going back and forth down the tank under water (hopes and dreams)

That is really cool. Ive been wanting to do something just like this for when i'm on vacation. The glare from the lights makes it a little hard to see, any side views?

And I thought I was bad having my own computer for the tank. Custom you take it to a whole new level. I am actually placing a computer down by your equipment because I will be running an ACII on the new setup but this above and beyond. Way to funny in my book.

i have a Vncviewer on this computer so i can controle the computer down stairs from this one. i can see the desktop and every thing! i have another cam set up to view the temp read out too, and all i got to do is just log in to the viewer on this computer and look at the computer in the basement on this one :) to see that cam :)
this hole thing is just something i have ben working on for a wile and working out how i was going to do it.

Nice. I remember you showing me this setup the first time I was over by you. Glad to see you've got it online! :)

My old 802.11g router died today and I picked up a new 802.11n. Along with that I upgraded my computer's wireless adapter. I'm going to put the old one on the laptop that's hooked up to my Reefkeeper 2 and try this same thing for when I'm in California. (plus it'll send me alerts if pH or temp start to go out of whack)

Very cool!!! Now you need to make a viewer like what Bill has so the water doesn't distort the view.

that would mean i would have another thing to clean:eek:
