thanks

yeah me either ive got most of the equipment ordered out and some is here and others is on the way but i still have my 100 right now so im takin my time to do it right on the set up

should be about another 3-4 weeks

take as much time as you can to think out every possibility you think you'll encounter down the road, i.e. pump strenght + plumbing. but i likes! either way ;o

hey drake i see ur over on this board too

thats the major thing im still kinda unsure of some things but im just going with what ive heard and what others have told me

so far this is what ive got

36" sump

ASM-G4 skimmer

coralife 18W turbotwist UV

for my closed loop a sequence Dart running an OM 4 way version3

and a iwaki 30rlt for my sump return

an MRC-CR2 calcium reactor with pinpoint ph and dual guages with 10lb CO2 bottle

im waiting on the ozone or phosreactor later

what else might i need?

i alreadyhave the lighting and chiller from my old tank

i'd get loc lines for your returns, I have them on my tank, I love them because they're adjustable and they arent an eyesore like powerheads (IMO). Also good choice on the OM, i've got one of those 4 way supersquirts, I love it, you'll be happy with that setup :)

That 18w unit won't do much on your system.

I would like into an Emperor HO (high output) unit, atleast 40w if not 50w (in that area). Anything less really won't benefit your aquarium since it'll be way under rated.

elephen... so the 18W isnt good enough .... man i hate how the manufacturers say good up to 250 gallons i dont understand y they do that if its not good enough... i already ordered it so what should i do i realy dont wanna buy another one

want2reef.... yeah its a Lee Mar flat polished 180 :)

My biggest regret is I did everything as I could afford it, and went cheaper because there was always something else I was going to need soon. If I had it to do over again, the tank would have been without water for another 6 months while I accumulated the right stuff. Like lighting, pumps, plumbing, etc. I finally after 3 years have my lighting pretty much where I want it, and I'm about to set up the closed loop. About the same time, I'll be re-engineering my refugium. I could have done all this up front, for double the cost, but it would mean starting 6 months later than I did. 20/20 hindsight.
