My galaxea is...........gone?

It was full, happy, and healthy yesterday. I got home tonite it's a freaking skeleton with a hermit on top. All levels are fine...everything else in tank looks ok. Has anyone experienced this....any explanation? Got frag in January it grew about a third more looked great.... then this happened....why?

RTN? Although I heard it only affects SPS, but don't quote me on that. I also heard that alk swing could be the cause.

How much of a swing in alk, I had been raising it slowly over the last two weeks. I was following advise on raising it slowly, did I get bad advise?
