My green carpet!

reefboarder

Intelligent Donkey
Just wanted to show off a few pics of my green carpet in this forum! Also if anyone has any special care tips that have helped them in caring for this species I would surely appreciate any pointers. I have a "pair" of black ocellaris that will hopefully host this nem and possibly mate in the future.

It is a green Haddoni, they prefer to be on/in the sandbed, usually right at the rock/sand interface so the foot can be buried in the sand under a rock.

How long have you had it? The mouth being open like that isn't a good sign, it should be tightly closed.

They are sensitive to too much flow, and if you just got it did you acclimate it to your lights?

I have had it for 5 days the pics were taken 5 days ago and the lights were very similar to mine the mouth is, as of now closed tightly it has eaten a silverside and the occasional scrap of shrimp/squid/scallop that ive made for my fish it is in a mild flow area it doesnt flap or anything but does kinda "billow" a little bit. He has moved around and seems to like the spot where he is almost where the pic was taken which is very near the bottom in the top pic bottom left youll see my cyano on the sand bad its about three inches from the nem

Nice, I have a dark green one. My advice is just dont move it, it body can tear easily. It also get big and can kill many corals, so be prepare in advance. I heard big carpets like Tangs for breakfast.

sorry ..... Yep fufu, My heddoni just finished off my blue hippo.. The hippo rubbed on him a while back and got away with mild discoloration and a few tenticles attached. I figured she learned her lesson but nope, a week later she was gone. Anyone want a huge heddoni? LOL! Bad Nem FS Cheap.....LOL. or maybe very dumb Tang?

Hope he makes a good hoster for your clowns. They really dont tend to host Amphiprion ocellaris var/Black & White Ocellaris Clownfish .Keep us posted.
