My GreenCarpet Anemone

I baught it a few days ago. He looks healthy and eats but he is kind of "Balding in the middle near his mouth. Is that normal. I dont see any scar tissue or signs of decay. It just looks like he has less green tentacles surrounding his mouth.

It kinda looks like this, is this bad?:

well i see that some of his green tentacles are turning grey and falling off...but by morning new ones have grown in there place. Whats the deal?????

after thinking about it for a while.....I feed him krill. doesnt the waste from the krill come out of the anemones mouth? this mite explain the greyish deteriated substance I am talking about?

Yes the waste comes out the mouth. That is likely what your seeing. . The "baldness" is normal.

mine also has that and as far as I can tell it is fine, nice Nem!

Could you please be a little more specific when hotlinking other peoples pictures that you are hotlinking and not actually posting a picture of the nem that you have in your possession????

The picture that the original poster here has linked to is misleading.
The picture is actually from www.reefscience.com , it is not a picture of her anemone.

rinklskn, could you please provide us with an actual picture of the anemone that is in your possession to get an informed opinion from here? KTHX.

He/She said that her anemone kinda looks like this.
It is true that an accurate picture is needed for an accurate opinion. Less tentacles around the mouth is normal for a S. haddoni.

55semireef and mrbojangles both seemed to miss that.
Plus hotlinking kind of sucks.
When I find people hotlinking off my stuff I post the most vehement and disgusting pictures I can in the place of the hotlinked image.
