my haddoni

Well I was finally able to get a nice blue haddoni. Went right out and bought 4 clowns to put with him. first 3 weeks were fine the next 2 weeks hes eaten all 4 clowns. Thought clowns were suppose to be safe. The haddoni stays but guess I want be getting any more clowns, All my other fish have been smart and stayed away, been feeding him every other day.

Could it be possible the clowns were fighting and weakened? I've heard of haddoni eating clownfish but 4 is some kind of record. Especially that quick. Having 4 clownfish in a tank would spell disaster anyway. They would eventually fight for dominance. I would imagine two clownfish would work.

350 gal reef with lots of anemones they all wanted the haddoni hadnt seen any aggression between them. Haddoni is enormous they had plenty of room to not be aggresive toward each other

What type of clowns? Some clowns are not the natural quest of the haddoni. And yes 4 would of eventually been trouble. With haddoni, just because the clowns like them doesn't mean the haddoni will feel the same:0
