I will hopefuuly be getting a 55 gallon corner tank from djchestnutrabbit tomorow and want to have it mostly sps dominated as i have found a great deal on a 400 watt metal halide pendant. But i would need to move my fimbriated and richardson eel into it. My questions is......

are the fimbriated and richardson okay to go in there?

with a 400 watt metal halide, I would be able to keep everythng correct?

seems small for 2 eels to live in for very long. Fimbriated is a green headed moray correct? If it is they get pretty big, mines about 2.5 feet. Also you mau have issues with water quality haveing 2 big carnivores in that small amount of water and trying to keep it up enough for SPS.

a fimnriated is a yellowhead. not really sure which you have.....

i belive water quality will be my biggest issue but some people with sps taks have a large amount of fish i think 2 eels would be around the same..... idk

Yeah its most likely the same eel, mine was sold to me as agreen headed but it matches the yellow pics I have seen. How stabel are your params now? I know my eel added a lot of bioload to my tank when I added him and that was into a 90. He is now in a 300G system. I know mine also likes to swima round a whole lot and does nto care for bright lights at all either. You may head over to the aggressive fish forum and ask but My guess is a 55 is to small for both eels. You will probally ahve much more luck going SPS witha few small fish in that 55.
