Since three weeks I am dosing the trace elements of the company Nightsun in small quantities.
I only give about 10% of the recommended dose.
Some colors have intensified themselves. For me a lot of colors look more metallic.

Judge the pictures yourself.

Looks like you've done it again! - Very impressive - a new chapter in the 'Iwan Method'

The blues pinks and purples look particularly deeper on my monitor -really nice. The yellow has a little change - is it much different in person?

The growth rate looks to be impressive for 21 days - is this your normal growth rate, or have the elements increased this?

As two of the nightsun products contain calcium and magnesium - have you change the amount of CA you add through the balling method? Do you add all four regardless of you CA and MG levels?

Are you planning to keep to increase the doses over time?

I will recieve the nightsun products tommorrow - really looking forward to seeing the effects:dance:

The growth is more or less the same as before. Some corals are not realy bigger....i made some frags in the meantime

Coral test

With this test I want to show how fast a "brown" coral can get colored under optimal conditions. The test coral is a table coral (Acropora solitaryensis). I have the coral got of a friendly reefkeeper. I have got the animal on 2-24-2006. The color was dark chocolate-colored. At that time the coral had a diameter of 12 and 13 cm.

Those are some pretty good results Iwan. I can tell the pictures look very similar but there is a positive difference in the colors on some of the corals. I am also very impressed with your growth rates.

Floridiot, unfortunately, the only "secret" I know of is elbow grease. I recently cleaned the walls. Here is the tank a couple months ago when it was not so clean:

Wow, Iwan never thought your color could get any better. I did a quick search for Nightsun products and I don't think they are available in the states.

Well here are my 2 tanks, I wanted to get some good before pictures because the Prodibio is supposed to arrive today. So, here are the pictures.

50G SPS/LPS tank.

Here is some of the algae I'm hoping goes away with the dosing of Prodibo.

Nasty red truff algae hard to get rid of.




I'm also hoping to get some color back in this SPS, it used to be a very bright green.


Here is the 29G softy tank, I would just love to see the algae go away in it. It used to be full of zoa and other LPS but I had a crash and most dead, but it is recoverying now.

h20cooled, looks like you've got some nice pieces in there. Do you have a very large clean-up crew? I think a good army of astrea snails would take care of the algae in the pics you posted very quickly.

Thanx! No I need more astreas in there, they will eat the algae off of the sea swirls, but no one seems to touch the red turf algae.

Ahhh yes, the dreaded red turf. Some recommend turbos. Mine was erradicated with acanthurus species tangs.

Damn! I hate elbow grease. That stuff makes me tired. Oh well, I guess it comes with the territory.

Yeah I found that place online for the Nightsun products. I think at this time I'm just going to use the 3 Prodibio products (Reef Booster, Dio Digest, & Bioptim) and see what happens. I'm considering later trying out the polylab products...

I remember reading earlier in this thread that TryTheChi asked Iwan to contact him because he had a business proposition to discuss with him but it was not about Prodibio.

Now we are a bit later and Iwan has changed products and seems to be a sudden new fan of these nightsun products in what I would think is a very short period to draw any conclusions.

The pics shown are definitely taken at different lighting and /or exposure it seems to me along with some increased saturation.

Please just tell me that neither of you (Iwan or TryTheChi) have any type of a business relationship with the Blacksun products or the company that makes them so I can rest my inquiring mind.

I just donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t want to get hyped on a product that you are suggesting because you have an alternate interest in mind.

Please except my humble apologies if neither of you have a relationship or business agreement with this company that supplies or makes Blacksun products.

From what I got out of Iwan's post is the Nightsun additive is something new he is trying. I haven't seen anyone on this thread trying to sell anything more just talking about what they are doing...

And it is not about Nigthsun either. It is about the sale of rights for some pictures.

I do not have made any product change !!!!!! I have not given any trace elements for a long time because I was not convinced of it. I have met the guys from Nightsun some weeks ago. I have tested some products. And I am convinced. I earn per bottle exactly 0,000 cents
