My in wall waiting room build

Yup, it has come time to move to a new office location. The nice part is that I get to buildout the office to my specs.

It going to be up tall at 40" typical 180 gal tank (6'X2'X2') in wall design with picture type molding to trim it off. All access is from behind inside its own room with a foot print of 7'X5'

I plan to have my RO system in another room in the back and pipe it to the fish room. I trying to workout a drain directly in the fish room but that'll take some planning.

That's great, Doc. Are you staying in the same area?

Awesome, looking forward to seeing this come alive. What kind of lights are you planning?

Great question, believe it or not I'm going with T5 lighting. I'm also thinking of maybe adding some MH 400W on the ends to see how that works. Finally I'm not doing LEDs. I just don't like them.

That's great, Doc. Are you staying in the same area?
Yes, I'm only moving 3 blocks down. 85th and Rockaway Blvd.

Moving Day!

Rocks removed

The rocks are full of Aptasia, i'm not sure how to handled them. So for now, I'm letting them dry out.

The tank is now in place, after a good scrubbing it'll look new

Question?

I have my RO filter, RO storage tank, and mixing tank in another room about 15' away spanning the hallway as you can see in the picture. Question is should I have the water from that room go
1. Over through the ceiling and down as I have it in the picture below or,
2. Under through the basement and up?
