My larger Maroon is dead

All,

About 2 weeks ago, I set up a hospital tank for the larger of my GSM's because she had ich. Well, last night she died, and I still have the smaller GSM in my main tank, and I think he knows his friend is dead, he's swimming all over the tank like he's looking for her.

My question is, how long should I wait before introducing another fish to my tank? And if and when I do, would it be ok to introduce a clown of a different species, or should I stick with a GSM?

Thanks!

Bummer... sorry to hear about your loss :(

I would avoid adding any more fish until you have the ich situation resolved... beyond that, mixing clowns is not a very good idea. I'd stick with a pair of GSM's

I got reallly lucky when pairing these 2. The first one I purchased was the smaller one,not even an inch long. He was in the tank for about a week and a half, then I found the larger one, and it was darker, about 2.5 inches long, so I figured she was already a female. When I introduced her to the tank, I was expecting the worse, but there was no fighting at all. The small one is still kinda small. I just hated losing that fish since they had paired so easily. Now I have to start the process all over again.
