yea last night before I turned of the light's he looked really bad maybe already dead but I figured I give it the night to make sure and in the morning he was gone . Of course in a hard part of the tank to get him out so before any more fish goes in or another jumps out doing my top today..Bob's got like 4-5 2 spot gobbies there nice looking might go for one of those there small like 2" at most ... or get another lawnmower blennie I loved those personalities they are great to watch and great worker.... Brian...
I basically did the same thing with bird netting...but the openings were 1/2 inch so I doubled up the layer to make the holes smaller. In fact, if you end up doing that, I can give you a bunch of the netting to make your own so don't buy any. The package I bought had a ton and I used very little of it. You just need to buy the screen kit from HD/Lowes.
Here's a closeup of it...
I eventually went to a glass top due to the evap and it hasn't affected anything...though I haven't tested for any specific changes in the chemistry of the water. May end up using it again once Summer rolls around to keep the heat down.
