This has been the longest spring break EVER! The Friday before my spring break I re-did the plumbing on my 150G because it was leaking a bit. I put a brace on the pipe so that it could release somme stress on the bulkhead. Unfortunately it ended up putting MORE pressure on it but in the opposite direction :thumbdown I spent most of my spring break at work and cleaning up the mess.
I'd like to thank a few people for helping with all this. First of smalltime, he was the first person to come and help me early that morning. He found a new home for my LTA and he also came back that day, after I got off work, and helped me clean up and brought me light rails for the new tank. I'd also like to thank skairic for taking all my SPS that morning. He also came back later that day and helped me carry out the broken tank. Thanks to cthetoy for picking up my RBTA with in an hour and a half of posting it for sale. I put my nems in a 20G tank and they took up more than half the tank! I'm certain that they wouldn't have lasted the day in there. Also thanks to goshishi for coming all the way to Riverside and picking up all my sand. He even stuck around for a bit in case we needed help with anything.
now on to the build!
Thanks to mudnut for an awesome deal on this tank! I still can't believe the timing. This tank was posted the day after mine broke. Thanks to jeffreylam1132 for hooking me up with a new sump. I sold mine to a reefer that needed one ASAP the day before I bought the new tank. It ended up working perfectly because my old sump wouldn't have fit under this tank. I was planning on being out of this hobby until I got my teaching credential next year but these guys gave me a good deal! Thanks for keeping me in this expensive hobby! lol I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing :uzi:
Ok, the tank is a leemar 48x30x20 with front and side starphire panels.
the first thing I did was the plumbing
