My little Black Clown!

Thanks Bill! Much appreciated, I look forward to seeing mine grow more, he's already doubled in size since we got him, so I'm pretty sure he's good. I've seen the tan/lavenders and I think they're very pretty!

Another update for those interested. There's no more aggression from our Saddleback ("Princess") to our little Ocellaris, but at the same time, there seems to be no interest. It could be he's a bit too small for her interest? Not sure... He seems interested in her, keeps swimming around her, and by her sebae, but he sleeps against the heater at night.

Have to laugh though, Hubby says I'm paired with Princess, the other day while installing the HOB Skimmer and moving some stuff for room for the powerhead the little Ocellaris bit me, and the Saddleback just came careening out of her Sebae and plastered him to the glass... It was interesting.

Oooout of curiousity while roaming some reading on mutual natural hosts for both I came across "Carpet"s as one (Stichodactyla sp.) and on Liveaquaria Maxi-Mini's are listed as Mini Carpets (Stichodactylidae) So I'm wondering, Same family? Different? Would both clowns be happy in a Maxi-Mini? :O

Teir natural hose is Haddoni carpet not the MaxiMini carpet. The MaxiMini carpet do not host any fish. Your anemone, H. crispa, is also a natural hose of your black clown fish, A. polymnus

I was just curious, thanks! And yeah I know our Crispa is a natural host for our black one, but not for our orange ocellaris, I don't think. :) I'm thinking when we rework the rock after the big tank is up and running we'll reevaluate where the little one is sleeping and get a BTA for the little one if he's still not resting with the black one. :)

Update time! Everything's going great, little guy settled for our toadstool as his host, and the toadstool seemed undisturbed by the event.

Our pair is doing great together, they swim together and no more attitude from our female! :D Our little guy does try and get near the Sebae with her, but gets scared last minute and swims back up to his toadstool, so maybe one day he'll rest with her.
