my little Puffer

Well i hope everyone had a great x-mas. My wife decided she would get me a juvinile Stars and Stripes Puffer fish. he really is a cute little sucker. But anyways the guys at the LFS told her we would be able to keep him for about 4-6 months in my size tank before we have to sell him. I havnt really read all that much about them as far as i can tell not many people have them. can someone give me some info on this interesting yet fat little guy

I think he was right that those get pretty large, possibly up to 14" or so as I recall.
I really like the small Valentini, Hawaiian Saddle or even Spotted Puffers that I've seen only small in stores, but I think they still can get up to 5".

Thanks i did some more research and they can grow between 12 and 19 inches. right now he is around 1 inch maybe 1.5 thanks

Hudson: Check out the FOWLER forum. Most of the folks there love puffers. I'm included. Your guy is going to get huge. They grow super fast and need a tank around 150 gallons. Also, you are likely to get very attached to him and not want to sell him. They are great and personable pets. You may want to look into a tank upgrade or take him back for something you can keep, soon. Just a thought!
