My mandarin finally ate frozen mysis.

So happy tonight. My mandarin ate frozen mysis tonight. Not only did he eat it. He stayed in with the other fish. Was target feeding my jaw fish. Usually squirt some in front of his hole. To get him used to coming out. There is always a crowd there while feeding. My yellow tang, my vroliks wrasse 2 black bar clowns and my watchman goby. He went in and just snatched a mysis shrimp. Liked it and went and got another. My tank has a large pod population. And i feed live enriched brine shrimp. Hes been in the tank about a month. And is looking good and happy. The wrasse seems to give him a nudge every now and then but he just seems not to phase him and he goes about his business. Just had to share that with everyone.

Nice. I hope mine will eventually eat frozen.

Eating frozen is not by itself going to result in success. If you have sufficient copepods in the tank (75 gallons+) and the tank is mature, you will likely succeed. But in a small tank or with other copepod eaters . . .
