Don't think they are courting, one is a scooter and the other is a mandarin.

I feel like the ruby scooter blenny was misnamed haha. It has the exact behavior of a mandarin...

they both exhibit the same mating dance. they do not always have to have a partner to start doing this. they are trying to attract a male or female even though there isnt one in the tank. in my opinion.

Odd. I have 2 mandarins and as soon as the lights go out they go into hiding, turn white, and go to sleep until the lights come back on in the morning.
How long have you had the mandarin? It looks pretty skinny in the video. Is it eating enough and getting a full belly? Might be looking for a brighter place to find some food.

I've had this mandarin for about 9 months. My aquarium is full of pods and has a fuge. Both of the dragonets get "hits" several times a minute.

The seem to follow each other around during the day while they hunt too.
