My Monti is turning white

I've had this Monti in my seahorse tank for about a month. Upon returning from a week's vacation, I discovered that it is turning white on the edges, which I assume is a bad sign.
Someone suggested that Monti's need high flow, so I placed a small Ovation powerjet/spraybar above it, but the ponies were very unhappy. I could rig a small jet off my main spraybars.
Anyone have any suggestions?

yea they need a decent amount of flow. since you have seahorses in there you can't do that. it won't survive if you continue to leave it in there.
