My name is Jason. I'm a Fathead Dendro Addict

Should i tell you guys with gloat that they are really abundant in chinese market?
And the price is really low to end class. Just 25RMB($4 currency transferred) for 4-5 heads.

Here is a pic to proof

Hey! I have two heads of this for mmmm like 8 months and it doesn't grow anything. What can i do to improve growing?
Thanks :D

Feed them 5 times a week. If they are small, less than 3/8 inch in diameter, feed them whenever the tentacles come out. I have one I got for free as a rescue case and I fed it 3-4 times a day until started to look healthy.

Hi,Joe, those are true colors, I call my dendros the Rainbow dendros. I got a small 3 head colony of those from a friend via trade for some SPS. Agreed, I never found any, that even remotely resembles mine, most are orange, yellow or white.

Hi Mark
Those are very unique dendros. Do the polyps all radiate out from a common base? Is there branching or is all the growth radially from the base?

Did the vendor say where they got them?

I've had ones with a bright red-orange centre and Tubastraea with pink tips but I've never seen a bright red core like yours (with the pink tips). This may be a nice colour morph or some unique species of dendrophyllia that's not often traded.

These are breath-takingly stunning!!! I'm trying to hunt them down online with no luck. Do you have any information on them or a frag for sale?

I tried to find those as well just to see what they go for, but just like you, no luck. I got those dendros via trade few years ago and for now i am just growing them . Started with 5 heads, now i have total of 19. I assure you , those are real colors, not photoshoped, many of my friend saw them in person. Unfortunately none are for sale as of now yet. I keep getting request for frags all the time, maybe when i grow few more heads i decide to part with few. :)

Hello, I am debating on getting a single dendro head for $40 or going all in for a colony of about 14 for around $200. Basically I want to know if they colony will be worth the investment and how hard it would be to sell the heads? Appreciate any and all feedback

That seems quite expensive - it really depends on what are you getting. I've paid those prices before but not for a run of the mill tubastraea or dendro.

If your goal is to profit from chopping up a colony - there are much better corals to do that with.

Aqua SD has 2 colonies left one 10 head and one 14 head at $25.00 per head...Is that seem decent. Don't know size of heads but they have very nice corals.

give them a call and find out when their next sale is (they advertise on a competing forum). they do them at least a couple of times a month, usually on a saturday. the prices are much, much better.

go for 80 a head in my area and are also rare and hard to get . I heard there from the china sea is why hard to import to us not sure how true this is?i have a nice couple colonies and love them

Had been look for one for a long time and finally got one, yeah! Definitely my favorite coral in the tank. It also looks like two more baby heads are developing on the back side.

Just pick one up today very similar, one head, baby head on the side at the OSRAS meet in Warwick. Once it opens fully, I'll post a pic.

Im here again....again i would like to mention, it's from south china sea and really abundant. So it's one of the cheapiest LPS here.
Seems they tolerate lower frequent feedings that you can even feed them twice per week. Overfeeding does harm them and let them die.
Hope it helps
