Well enough to get it started....Will have to upgrade skimmer when the load gets up there..

Well set the tank on stand and everything looks good....Now to skin in and stain it....

Why did you make it longer than the tank? Doesn't seem to have enough support on the sides since it isnt touching the built up corners. other than that it looks like a good start.

Going to steal a ideal from Nate and KC....square pieces of wood with trim to match held in with magnets.

The tank looks great! I am about to start staining, any suggestions? Did you sand between coats?

Nope...put 2 coats of stain about 12 hrs apart then waited 24 hr and 2 coats of sealer about 10 hrs apart...that was the easy part...lolol

Thanks, that is great to hear. I have been told that if you sand between coats then you get a much smoother finish. Also I noticed you and I are make the upgrade from the same tank. Nice!

Yep...Bigger is better...lolol.....And Yes I did a light sand between coats too....real light.....

Started to add water last night and dried plumbed it....going to glue it today when I get home from work....

Well its been a LOOONNNGG 3 days....Things just don't go as planed....I know the lighting sucks...I was up in the air about lighting, Until I talk to Rodger yesterday...(BY the way He has a AWESOME looking Tank)..I guess Im going with LEDS. But I'm going to wait until Rodger is done with his little research, And then I will buy....

So Im adding a 40 breeder to my system, Hoping next weekend I will put it up.
So you ask What I'm going to do in the 40 breeder? Glad you ask, Going with a Micro plant and Zoa display in the tank. Cant wait to get up and running.
