My new 180G system

Man that sucks. Are you planning on restarting? Was it snow storm related?

A couple of trees fell down with a strong wind and hit the power supply

3 days is a long time and I´m luck to keep the fishes alive

I don´t know when I will restart

Best Regards

I feel your pain. I lost my first 60 cube to a power outage during hurricane Katrina. I was not able to even save the fish.

Sorry for your loss... Makes me want to go out and get one of the 2 stroke harbor freight generators.... Does insurance cover this kind of stuff?

Sorry to hear about the power failure and the fallout. If you are still running your reef, would you mind posting a picture of the bare bottom as it looks now? That white acrylic paint idea looks very clean and so does the tank overall. I was curious to see how it looks after all this time.

I'm sure he painted the bottom of the bottom of the tank so it would look the same after all this time.

The paint on the bottom side won't show through like that forever unless one scapes the coralline off regularly. Curious how it looks now. Knowing Danadai, he'll have it looking nice one way or another.

I think he started a small tank.

Thanks Ucantwin.

I think I'm good at this point either way. I took a trip over to World Wide Corals in Orlando yesterday. All of their display tanks have that same white painted under side, bare bottom tank look with coraline algae growing on top side of the glass. It looks fine to me so I'll be trying this on my next build.

Thanks!
