Hey everyone, my tank has really grown in the past day, I have a lot of frags for some reason!! :). Come over and I will make you a killer deal :). Mike, you are going to need a lot of frags to stock your new tank, come on over I think you will find a few things you would like :) LMAO....

Ed

Ha, Ha, Ha! :) Everyone stay away!

Seriously though, what should I do with my calcium reactor media? It will be at least till this weekend till it's running on the new tank. Do you think it trapped a lot of debris that will rot? Should I try to dry it or just toss it and start with new?

Mike, you should be fine with the media. I would dry it in the sun then rinse it as if were new before reusing it. The purpose of this media is to withdraw calcium from it. It does not need to be live. It is likely to grow molds if not dried.

So Ed, are those new frags mine then?!

BTW, I am doing the tank change over on Mon Tues Wed of next week.

I will be in touch and aiming for getting the corals from you on Wed.

Scott,

You will have to pick them up from Mike if you get them next week. Looks like everything is being moved to his house on Sunday. I am going to shut my tank off and get it ready to get it to Andy.

Well, I called to verify that my tank made it on the truck this week. The answer was "maybe". It seems that the walkout on Monday pushed everything back 1 day. It's not yet clear whether that means it will come Friday instead of Thursday, or if I have to wait another week. (the LFS gets thier delivery on Thursdays)

I didn't respond to the CNN poll, but I can now say "Yes, the walkout has affected me."

I got my hole drilled in the 30gal which will be the new fuge. Thanks Scott for the hole saw, it worked perfectly. Much better than the Dremel!

It didn't come today, and I called and it's not going to come in tomorrow. I don't know when, but maybe next week. ARRRG!

Tonight I got all my lights and ballasts mounted in the canopy.

bummer. Well, I don't have to rush the epoxy to you. So I can deliver it when I come for the corals, probably on Wednesday.
Cheers

I got a little more done today. I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow.

I cut the holes in the top of the stand, built the fuge lid, finished the fuge stand, painted the fuge back, and got the baffles glued in the sump. I'm planning to get the fuge up and running tomorrow, since the rock and macro from the old one is in a tub right now.

Maybe then I'll have a feeling of having some sort of tank running!

Thanks! Glad you got your computer fixed!

Today I'm working on the front and end skins for the stand.

I realized I can't set up the fuge today; I drilled a hole for a drain, but didn't cut one for the supply... Hopefully Scott can bring his hole saw Wednesday and I can take care of that.

I have to take some time away from the tank work now to replace the starter on my truck. :(

Something to keep you guys baited :) here's a pic of the fuge. Still need to put the door on. The topoff resevoir will go inside this stand. You can see the fan grate on top to keep the humidity vented.
