My new 25G highly tweeked tank

Mr. DJ is correct. It is a nice tank with all the bells and whistles but it was expensive. The manufacturer is called IPI. I got it from a local fish store in Chicago. Tanks and livestock are pretty much the only thing I buy local; this one came with integrated lights so I went with it. I don’t know anything about specific pinkies talking about but I do love Premium Aquatics.

They are calling it a 25 gallon which includes sump capacity. Display portion is just under 20 gallons.

Oh the joys of watching and a RO/DI fill a tank. It should be done about 3 a.m.

Well, made some nice progress. Got all the parts for the CL but the 1x3/4 reducer for the pump outlet was wrong. Will get it figured out eventually. Most importantly, I got it to my office.

Well, got it filled and live rock arrived. I like how it looks and the side pane is perfect for visitors to observer the tank. Put a dime sized emerald mithrix crab in as well.

I'm bouncing off the walls like a small school kid. I may break up one of the live rock pieces to give a little beter flexibility in aquascapping.

Sorry forgot to mention that the rock is cured marshall island from premium. got it at the macna discount rate which is also nice.

The tank is up and running and fully cycled.

Not sure if I mentioned it but I filled it with a four stage RO/DI. I let it run for three days without anything in it so the salt water could mature. I then added enough crushed coral for a 3/4" deep display. I also added an inch of Oolytic sand to the refugee/sump. I also took an old water bottle and due to a deep sand bed for denitrification. I expect it to take about a month before the denitrification starts.

Here are some images of the back

I got a detrivore kit from inland aquatics and Indo-Pacific sea farms. All kinds of little critters scampering about in the tank.

I also inserted and inclined foam filter in the overflow to eliminate all noise. I am pretty happy with it and am cleaning it once a day or so.

At this point I have two large concerns one is to heat added by the closed loop and I have minimal mechanical filtration. I currently have it the closed loop running seven minutes every half hour. I will see what that does to the general temperature. I am also considering a small canister filter filled with just floss to polish the water for a couple of days a month.
