Are the Radions attached directly to the underside of the canopy without any space in between? Do they need vents above or additional fans for circulation? I as because I'm having a canopy and cabinet built next month and have a 210 with a very similar set up going.
Your DT looks great, the build has been nicely done and I really like the mix of fish you chose!
They have about a 1/2" space between them and the canopy, also there is a gap about 2" wide in the canapy that they are across. it gives them enough room for air. plus, the top of the radions are flat. there is already a gap between the fan and the top part so you could mount them against the canopy. i think the screws were m5-.08 50mm long.... the top of the canopy is 1/2" thick.
Yeah my upgrade obsession started about a year in. I'm glad I got to do a lot of things differently after my experiences. I loves my 120 but I'm really excited about what this one will become.
11sec76 - Thank you for the detailed response. To make sure that I understand about the 2" gap... are you saying that it is directly above the fixture?
Again, I appreciate the detail. That spelled it out very well and a photo is not necessary. Does this allow for ambient light to come through or does the direct nature of the LED's keep the light contained?
