My New AGE tank build! It's big! ~1500g DT

Impressive undertaking. Looking forward to seeing life added to it. The Abyzz pumps might be a good option for your closed loop pumps. They can run submerisible or external, pump up over 20' and can move up to 6200gph at 400watts, are variable speed with pulse modes and silent. Saw them at MACNA and they were impressive. I'm hopefully going to get hands on experience with one before the end of the year.

Nice setup. Curious as to how the solatubes are doing. I was considering some but wasn't sure if it would be enough light actually projected into the tank.

Prickles,
Not so much worried about the flex pipe and how they are glued into the fittings. More concerned about the force that they(the pipes) potentially are putting on the bulk head.

If you can get your hand into that area - maybe create some kind of "support stand" using pvc pipe and a "T" fitting coming from the floor of the sump and position it into place.

thanks, me too!

I am not really impressed with the amount of vibration these sicce's are putting out, but it's bearable now that everything is closed up. I will check out the abyzz if the noise gets too annoying or if a pump dies. let me know how yours turns out if you get one.

thanks,

the solatubes put out plenty of light for viewing, i haven't dug out my par meter yet to see what par they put out yet though. I do plan on putting 11 LED's on the tank for supplemental and nighttime viewing.

yeah I've been thinking about using some PVC to make a support of some sort. You've got me really concerned about it now! I've been thinking about it all weekend.

nice tank tagging along

thanks!

I noticed in your tagline you have 2mp60's and 4mp40's. Do you have anything else such as a closed loop? Your dimensions are smaller but that's what I have for flow on top of the closed loop and am concerned about it being enough now that I have some stuff in the tank.

I sold my mp60's and 40s. I bought a hydro wizard. There's not really much info about them. I'll post more about the pump after I use it for awhile. I will post a few links that I found on my build tonight
