Picked this guy up from DD last week, very excited to see him grow up and watch change! Chaeto melanosoma.

Great looking angel. Take lots of pics so you can post the amazing transformation of these great fish. Good luck.

I picked up one as well.

I love the attitude it shows to my 5+ Purple Tang and how it seems to swim like my Perculas around the tank.

Great Fish...No idea why I don't currently have one! The one I had, had the best "personality" I have seen in an angel.

Thanks everyone! I'll make sure and keep updated pics coming as he grows. Going to do some prazi treatments and then throw him in my display in a few weeks:)

Well I had a small problem with my QT tank and quickly had to get this guy in my DT. I turned the lights off, acclimated him and dropped him in.

Holy crap, my Potter's angel went NUTS. From the second I put him in my Potter's was chasing him around trying to tail whip him. I was able to get them separated via egg crate and I kid you not, my Potter jumped OVER the egg crate to get back. They were in and out of my rock so I couldn't get them apart again.

I covered the tank and once it was dark enough, the Potter's went to bed. ALL aggression is coming from the Potter.

I am totally unprepared for this, didn't expect to have this reaction towards the melanosoma by any of my fish. Really do not want to have to tear my tank apart, left for work when it was still dark so we will see if either one is still alive when I get home.

Any other advice? This really makes me rethink about the other dwarf angels I want to add. It's a 250G tank btw.

I have learned that you should always use an acclimation box when adding an angel to a tank that currently has angels. Even if there isn't any aggression it's alot better to be safe than sorry. I have a 220 & my potters hated the african flameback I added. It took almost three weeks in the acclimation box before I could release the flameback. Good Luck!!

Thanks, learned my lesson on this one!
