My new angel juvi

Don't order from there. I heard people aren't getting their stuff lately, like they shut down or something. Ill post a link to another place in a bit if I can find it

I added my Black Velvet with a Rusty and the Rusty tried to kick it's butt for the first day or so. Now everything is relatively calm.

It's a beautiful fish. Good luck with your Potter's. My previous Potter's was tough on a 5" Purple Tang for about a week until it settled down.

Well I'm home and they are both still alive. The Potter's lower fins/tail are pretty damaged, the melanosoma looks relatively unharmed. You would think the Potter would knock it off seeing as he's getting the worse of it.

It doesn't seem as bad as last night and they both just ate, hopefully it keeps settling down. Would hate to lose either one.

I hope the isolation station you build this weekend saves any fish from further stress. That's a nice little guy you picked up and we hope he lives long.

If you can't separate them then I suggest keeping the tank dark for 3 days and rearranging the rocks will help a bit. I never had a potter that mean but guess I'm lucky in that regard. However, I have a coral beauty that's relentless when it comes to adding new angels especially smaller than him. One time I added a juv flagfin and he went after the flagfin for over a week and would chase the flagfin into hiding for 2 months. Finally about the 3rd month when the flagfin caught up in size the chase stopped but the flagfin still didn't want to confront the coral beauty.

Use a acclimation box for 10 days and I bet you'll shorten the aggression cycle otherwise be prepare to see some whipping from the potter.

Best of luck with your new angel!

Those isolation boxes really do work, hope the fish can work this out both are such beautiful species and would make a great mix. I love the Chaetodontoplus genus (blueline and meredithi in my 180), absolutely the most personable genus in the family IMO. You will really enjoy this fish, a very underappreciated beauty. Both of my fish were literally eating from my fingers within weeks in my display tank.

I saw that. Hopefully they will be back in stock soon. I like them better though cause you dont have to depend on suction cups. I believe he even has a eurobrace option.

I never cared for suction cup especially those on powerheads but I must say the ones fro 4corals were pretty good. I never had a problem with the acclimation box moving and I even put a piece of rock in it.

I havent had a problem with it either but I dont expect them to last forever either. I hope replacements can be found if I ever need them.

Well things have settled down quite a bit, the Potter's still gives him the evil eye and will bother him a few times, but not even close to how it was before!
