Overflow box glass is 1/4, same as sump baffles.. it's holding up wonderfully 
Am having an issue with my skimmer though, SRO 2000, even though the water level is WAY below the "mini water level" mark, it overflows the collection cup in mere seconds.... the valves are completely open (for flow)
not sure what to do about that, perhaps raise the skimmer a bit?

Have you tried the water above the "min" mark? Maybe for some reason it needs the higher water level.

i'll give it a shot.. but I believe I tried that.. the higher the water, the more bubbles.. the faster the collection cup overflows

Make sure your skimmer is in about 6 inches of water and slowly bring up the water level. Mine took a while to break in.

It's not unfinished entirely, it's polyurethaned. does that take away from the danger ?
