My new clowns and anenome tank

Pallan

New member
well last year I tore down my 220 sps tank and 120 aggressive after getting burned out.

I sold off a lot of equipment and all livestock but in the process acquired a nice 70 gallon tank/stand with 2 side tanks. I let it sit awhile then started reacquiring equipment and upgrades with the intention of keeping anemones and clowns. a local reefer had just hatched a group of clowns so I saw this as an opportunity to try to get a group to live together. set up the tank acquired some Nems and let the tank settle in and waited for his batch of clowns to mature enough to be put in and this is the result so far.
stock list
14 clowns from the same spawn
yellow tang
2 blue chromis
1 bi color blenny
4 purple tipped bta
1 gbta
1 huge RBTA
1 green body and red tipped RBTA

plans for the side tanks are a pair of clowns that im getting from a friend one of the pair being a Sanjays black photon. I will match these up to a carpet Nem in one side tank
the other side tank will be a refuge for now but I might try some sea horses

heres some pics

Thanks, I can't take all the credit. You have given them a great healthy home.

any of them going into the anemones yet?

they go in and out some. not fully hosting yet but they are curious. but if I try to get a pic they just think im there to feed them so they all come running

That right there is a lot of clowns :) Very nice looking tank.

Off topic but shifty have any of your clowns ever hosted a torch or frogspawn LPS?

i've had an old pair use diffrent corals as hosts

shrooms

frogspawn (sorry it is closed up as this was taken have lights out)

leather

and RBTA's (BTW these are the parents to Pallan's clowns)

sorry for the crappy pics.

Thanks for the pics, my clowns were just introduced along with a 2 head frogspawn frag. Hoping it thrives and they host it in time.

Could probably start with one but aS they are 24 inch spread your edges will be darker so might need two. I'm thinking if I find a used one I might add one more
