Hey! I also have a blue spot jawfish with my picassos! How's he doin'? How long have you had him? Sorry if I got off topic! ;)

very kewl dood :) .
may be the one at the bottom is just a little stress.
what are you gonna feed them?
my fishes lately are getting fed 3 times per day, Rod's food once and the other two times just ora glow pellets and they seem to also eat some of the coral frenzy :p

i took those with my laptop and my laptop makes everything backwards lol. so it just makes it look like i changed it. my bta doesn't look to good. i think i might order that one from LA.

i am going to feed live baby brine shrimp, rotifers, live enriched adult brine, crushed flake food, frozen mysis soaked in garlic and vitamins, and multiple other foods.

Good idea to keep lots of different foods.

I got my little picasso's last friday from the same guy & I feed my babies about once an hour when I get home from work & I sprinkle alittle crushed flake before work.

The love rods food best ... I swear he puts fish drugs in his food! They get scared when there is alot of food floating around & they stop eating, but when I put rods food in there they dont care how much is in the tank, they chow down.

My older sibling picasso that I got in december took about a month to get a nice bright orange & as of this month the black tail stripe is filling in & it has black outlining its white stripes. It also looks like the front end might be turning black :)

Just keep in mind that these picasso's are extreemly young. I believe my first one was about 3.5 months old when I got it so that makes it right around 6 months old now. I think these new ones are around 3-4 months old too. Their potential is endless :D

yeah i'm still really worried about the smallest one. he's the weekest swimmer and he has trouble swimming. i just tried feeding them some crushed flake but they didn't eat.

I would use a pipette & try to get some live baby brine down to it, its hard for them to resist live baby brine.

When I got my first ones I ask what they were eating & he told me crushed flake & live baby brine in the morning, frozen mysis chopped up mid day & crushed flake & brine again at night.

I just sprinkle the flake on the surface & they pick at it for about 30 minutes.

I feed them live baby brine the first day to get them eating good again after the stress of shipping & not eating for so long while in the box. I discontinue the live brine when they start eating cyclopeeze & rods food eagerly. After that I rotate feedings of rods food, cyclopeeze, crushed flake & pellet.

i am going to hatch some baby brine today. they started picking at the food a few minutes ago. i fed them crushed flake, live rotifers, and about 3 frozen mysis. they like the rotifers and flake but they don't really like the mysis. the small one isn't eating as much as the other 2 though.

Did you chop up the mysis?

If the small one is eating I would not worry just yet. watch him close though to make sure he's not grabbing the food then spitting it back out.

If the smaller one doesn't start eating WELL, gimme a call, I can come over, or we can organize something. You wanna mix all the food in at once so they start to get the idea that it is all food.

fishkidd, I'm not trying to be an alarmist or anything, but if it was me, I'd be contacting bonesreef and let them know about the one you're having problems with. That way, in case of the worst, they'll have some knowledge of what's going on. Just my 2 pennies!
