He's awesome! If you don't mind me asking, how much did you get him for? Also, where'd you get him? Congrats on the new baby!

I paid $150.00 for him. These fish aren't exactly common and when they are available they have problems eating in captivity. My LFS had him for a week and when I saw him eating lifeline like a little pig I just had to have him. I got him from deepreefaquatics which is a local place by me. The website is deepreefaquatics.com
They get all the rare stuff in.
I think they ship too.

It should place in low traffic tank, shy and non-aggrissive angel. If this spiece collected in fiji has better survial change. I got 2 before from philipine are never takes food.

Mine eats like a pig, loves lifeline and mysis. My LFS recieved this fish from his marshall island order.

Scott,

So you are the guy that bought him on me. I called Deep Reef shortly after they recieved the fish to see how it was doing. When I called yesterday they told me someone bought it the day before.

Take good care of it and if you are interested in parting with it sometime let me know.

Dave

Awesome fish! I was looking for one, but when I found out how hard they were to feed, I kinda lost interest. Especially with how pricey they are. Enjoy yours!

Sorry Dave, at least I am not the only one that has an interest in this beautiful little guy. I was shocked to see him devouring that lifeline and I always wanted one. I am pretty sure Jeff can get you another one :)

Just an FYI for those interested in C. colini... Frank Baensch of rcthawaii.com has bred this species and has young available at the moment. While they are about twice the price ($300), they come with a 21 day guarentee and are virtually indestructible.
captive C. colini for sale
Mini colini!

I had the pleasure of meeting up with him at his facility while on business in Hawaii and Wow! For angel lovers like me (my avatar!) it was like Heaven. While he only has a few species listed currently on his site, he's got some incredible things cooking! For an example of his fish, here's a movie he has listed on his site of C. resplendens and C. interuptus...

Here's the man himself... a true pioneer in the hobby... he's the tall German and I'm the short Italian :D ... He's right in Honolulu and you could see the back side of Diamondhead in the photo... if anyone orders/has ordered C. colini from him be sure to post.

Cool fish Deltec!!! I just saw one at my LFS too and so far, have been able to keep from buying it. Who knows what will happen if stop in there this weekend.

Brian Greene of Twilight Aquatics still had a couple of colinis for sale last time I checked. If you're looking for one you should definitely check his site out - he collected them personally in the Marshalls and the quality is second to none.

His website is http://www.twilightaquatics.net/home.html

I seen his website, I plan on ordering a few things from him in the future, maybe a rhomboid. I seen those collins which were available if I didn't purchase this guy from my LFS I would have inquired about the collins from twilightaquatics. Its a good idea to purchase a fish like collins who takes great care of their fish rather than a giant reseller who sells them in mass quanities and probably wouldn't even know if the fish is eating or not.

Thanks!! He is a great little guy, always swimming in the open, not shy at all, likes to dart around the live rock crevices. He is extremely bold, he chased out my 5 1/2 inch aust. scotts wrasse and took over his cave..LOL
