Hello RC peeps!
From February I have been tinkering with a new build and I want to say phase 1 (setup and some fish) is completed.
At this time, I have managed to install a 90 gal Rapid LED retrofit kit and a Reef Angel with the wi-fi attachment.
Parameters:
Ammo: undetected
Nitrite: undetected
Nitrate: about 15ppm (result of starting out with very old water, in its way down)
Phosphate: undetectable
Temp: 77-79
Salinity: 1.023-1.024
Setup:
95 Gal 'Wave Crystal Clean aquarium' 48'w x 25't x 22'd
About 100 pounds of Live rock. Mostly bigger rubble.
Marineland 300 skimmer
40 gal sump with 13 gal fuge on reverse lights and deep sandbed (40 pounds oolitic)
1 Aqueon 250 pro heater
ATO with 11 gal reservoir
2 Koralias Evolution 1050 on Reef Angel random wavemaker
Rio 3100 Return pump delivering about 750 gal to the display on dual return line with 4 outputs
Sock only for water changes and when 'dusty' conditions
Total water Volume about 110 Gallons
1 JBJ 1/4hp antarctica chiller
48 Cree LEDs (Rapid LED kit) on 4 MeanWell dimmable drivers (10am to 8pm parabole actinic & 11am to 7pm parabole daylight)
30 gal bare bottom and live rock quarantine tank
RO-DI water only
Livestock:
2-(2 and 1 1/2') Black Ocellaris (Amphiprion ocellaris)
1-2 1/2 McCosker's Flasher (Paracheilinus mccoskeri)
1-2' Blue Hippo (Paracanthurus hepatus)
1-1 1/2' Royal Gramma
2 Spawning Skunk cleaner shrimps (Lysmata amboinensis)
1 proto-palythoa. Unidentified species.
1 Lubbock's fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus lubbocki) in quarantine
I think that sums it up...
Here's where you all come in:
I plan on getting zoas and some montis for starters. Going for colorful. I am looking for recommendations on next couple of fishes and corals. I would like to keep this as a non-aggressive setup and have a Lubbock's Fairy in quarantine.
Thanks for your contributions and happy reefing everyone!
