Great pics/time lapse!

I would have to say that BTAs are the easiest species to keep but if I remember correctly ... you're already keeping SPS right?

Sorry to hear about your anemone. A couple things I would have done differently. It looked pretty good when you first got it. My guess is, it wasn't given what it needed. I would have put it at the bottom of the tank, they like the area at the base of a rock, in the sand. They like to bury the foot in the sand. Also, haddoni don't like any where near that much flow. That much flow will never work, especially with a new one. I would have found a low flow area, enough to take away any poop, but hardly enough to lift the edge of the disk under normal flow. I also would not feed a new one for the first few days while it's acclimating. I used to, I know it's hard to resist, but I've gone through enough to see not feeding works better, generally, there will always be exceptions. Not feeding a healthy one will always be ok. Feeding a sick one will not. Anemone's can live a long time, months, with no food. I've done it. Feeding it when not acclimated, and up to speed, it may take food in, but if it doesn't get rid of it, it will rot inside. There's no solid rules with these things, each one is an individual and care may vary depending on health. Again, sorry about your anemone, it looked like a real beauty.

Taylor thanks for the advice
Eventually it did go into the sand
The feeding this is very helpful I won't feed it any time soon

I don't know if I want to take the chance of another carpet
I might just stick with the rbta

Don't be too hard on yourself, they can be very fickle to get acclimated. I'm willing to bet, everyone that has a carpet, has killed a few, some a few more, along the way... whether they admit it is another thing... Once acclimated, they are pretty tough (still delicate though). If you are willing to dedicate the time and effort, you are just as good of an owner as anyone else. Just remember, if you go with a carpet, you may loose fish one at a time, over time. I've got 4 carpets in a 75, for most, that's WAY too much. I don't recommend doing this. But, I keep an eye, and I also have another system I can move any or all at a moments notice. Eventually 2 of mine will need to be removed. Best of luck, keep us posted what you decide!

Here is my new Haddoni Carpet, two weeks old and settled in now. Clowns settled in less than 24 hours and are happy with new home.
