Steve, I have a 24" coralife 2 x 65 watt PC just sitting in my garage if you need something for now.

A Mag 5 as a return pump on a 20 gallon tank? One of the larger powerheads may provide a more appropriate rate of flow.

In a garage you can put insulation around the outside of the tank. The foil-backed foams found at Lowes and HD would be okay with occasional splashing.

For a small tank a location near a sunny window could provide great light. Perhaps a mirror can re-direct the light as needed.

I ended up just taking an extra 32W x2 fixture from my garage and tossing it on top of the tank for now..

Steve, where'd you get those water containers in the background (left) of your prop tank?

Those were gotten at Wal-Mart and Target.
I use them for my 3 part Mix solutions.
