My new large system

Thanks!

I finished building the stands, with the help of a few friends, and have mostly plumed the system. I'm going to try to plumb the rest of it this weekend for a freshwater test. :D

If all goes well, it may have salt in it next week!

Here's the homemade stand with ballasts on the side, and dart on the top:

Here's the equipment area, just missing the sump which comes tomorrow:

Thanks for the ideas!
I've actually got both of those in plans...

I have both pipefish/seahorses, and a black A. ocellaris pair at the moment.

I'm planning a 40 breeder in downstairs for the seahorse tank. Will be putting the A. ocellaris into one of the partitioned tanks upstairs.

Josh, looks great. Could you describe the double decker rubbermaids, i'm putting together a 220 reef w/ the sumps/refuge below the display in my basement and was thinking of something similar.

My plan with the double rubbermaids was:

#1 economize on space.

I wanted to have a refugium and a frag rack, but did not want to get macro growing in with frags.

#2 Slow the flow to the downstairs and collect some of the bubbles

With the first tank, I'm able to get the 3 feeds from the tanks upstairs falling to the same place, and the bubbles hit there and disappate. The macro will go up there and should get some good water flow over it.

The bottom tank I have the drain situated to the back, and not much air is falling down there at all.

The bottom rubbermaid is plumbed with 2 x 2" lines to an acrylic 90 gallon sump horizontally. So when the power goes out, and the system drains back, I have an extra 120 gallons of capacity, as the sump runs half full currently.

Here are the clownfish in the pair tanks:
