Ok so recently I lost my 135 due to a nitrate spike.. Sigh.. SO I put some of my rock into my 20L that was a frag tank. Now I have about 35-40 #'s of rock in here. This is now my only SW tank as of now since the 135 is getting rebuilt so I figured why not make this a nice little tank. I currently have a RBTA / 2 heads of frogspawn / Galaxia / Green zoas. I have for lights 2-18k @ 40w each / 2-6500k @ 40w each / 1 actinic @ 20w all are 24". So I am running 180w all together so I have 9w a gallon. Anyways here are some pics of it and building of the light.

Here is the acrylic box I built for it:

Lights go 6.5k / 18k / actinic / 18k / 6.5k front to back. Let me know what you think.. Thinking about adding fish to it but not sure if I will or not.. I will get some better pics with my SLR

What kind of reflector do you have? That box is 29x9. I have a sheet of mylar I was thinking of using. Pictures do not do this tank justice it looks soo much better in person!

I second the reflectors it will like double the look of light output. Also *** happen with the 135? How did you spike? And what where the nitrates at? Thanks

I had a nitrate spike from no where. No idea why or where. I got the remaining fish to a new home and they are doing good there so.. It was reading over 160!

Prob with that reflector is that it is to small.. Looking into another method at the moment.
