My new ORA Black Ice clowns

ORA recently released some new clowns and i thought id show off the pair i picked up.
heres the quick write up on them thats online:
ORA has been very busy this year diversifying the lineup. While Clownfish are still the Hallmark fish of ORA, they are many new species in the works including Mandarins and Blue Assessors, as well as many other great captive raised fish and coral. This month they add another Designer Clownfish to the game, The Black Ice Semi-Snowflake Clown, a beautifully abberant cross bewteen a Black Ocellaris and Snowflake (which is also an Ocellaris variant, opposed to the Platinum, which stems from Picassso Percula genes.)

Here's what ORA had to say of their new release:
"ORA is introducing another new clownfish variety this month. The Black Ice Semi-Snowflake (Amphiprion ocellaris) was created by crossing a Black Ocellaris with a Snowflake. We were really hoping to get a Black Snowflake but wound up with an orange one with ultra intense black markings. These guys have yellow-orange bodies with an irregular white zig zag in the mid-section. The thick black outlines really make the colors pop."

Available for about 1/3 the price of a Snowflake clown in limited quantities, these are sure to go fast. I have several extremely aberrant ORA clowns in my store, and I have to say they might be more beautiful than their near albino brethren. The characteristic cheek spine or eye dots and jagged markings make them very unique.

interesting little fish. the orange reminds me of the color you find on a carmel clown. its not very bright, and the black is reallllly black. it will be cool to see how these juvies develope.

wow those look awsome :) . I cant wait until they get a black and white picasso or snowflake , seems thats what they thought they'd be getting . Ill be looking out for that and pick it up when they release one cause im sure they will lol . Very nice clowns though !

thanks, a black snowflake would look great! im hoping that their orange darkens up a lot. it seems like it might because certain areas of them sort of look like onyx juvies before they turn colors. we'll see. im happy with them though

yea for sure about the black snowflake! im sure theyll get it down. u never know though yours may color up black eventually and then they would look sick ! but they def still look great!

well thanks. i want to see some other ones. i know not to many were let out yet, but it would be nice to see what other people got, hopefully theyll post some on here

Haha ya but I'm still
not sure what the actual retail, the guys I got them from had told someone retail was 450 for the pair, but that didn't sound right, they were already sold to me though. I doubt they're that expensive

NaClCrodile, i really think you can get them cheaper than that. that price is definitl not 1/3 of the cost. youll just have to look around at some stores who carry ORA

thanks adrienne, thats exactly what i was thinking. i cant wait for them to get bigger. theyll be going in a new tank. im tearing down my 39g around august or september and i will be setting up a clown only tank. im still deciding if i want to go with bubble tip nems or a carpet nem, the tank isnt super big. its 20x20x20 so we will see
