Just wanted to share my new plate. Im also wondering why he isnt inflating like he did in the tank I got him from. My friend had it in a 12g nanocube with 3x24 watt pc's. I have him in my 20L with 4x24 watt tek retro. Is it the lighting? I have fed him very small pieces of raw shrimp a couple times, he has taken some flakes, and also some mysis/cyclopeeze when I was feeding my clown. He just doesnt inflate much any more. Is this normal? Is it the lighting?

your light should be good for him. mysis shrimp, and cyclopeeze are good for him to eat too. i would give hims food directly(target feed) 2-3 times a week.

Also Sweet Fungia.

I had to move my little plate around the tank until I found the right flow for him. Lighting isn't really a problem with 150 MH, I just had to make sure he wasn't directly under the light. Once the right place was found, he puffed up big time, tentacles came out. Eats like an absolute pig when I target feed. One of the nicer corals to have and fairly hardy. Also - I think mine is sensitive to salinity - prefers SG of 1.025 / .024. Over that and his tentacles wont fully extend, under and he won't puff up. Purely a guess as I went through 2 days of evap replacing with seawater not RO because I was out. Need to get an RO / DI unit in the house...:hmm4:

Mysis, Cyclopeze and occasionally brine all target fed directly to him.

Thanks for your help guys. I will feed him a little more often. He ALWAYS takes as much food as I give him. Last night he pigged out on some mysis/cyclops. My salnity is right at 1.025, but I planned on lowering that just a bit over the next week or so anyways. Where he is currently positioned he doesnt recieve much direct flow... just I give him a bit more flow in his area?

Thanks again,

Jesse
