I have used caribsea sugar fine live sand ,to a depth of about 3" in some areas ,was a bit doubt full about this with useing 4 mp40 ,but it works well and the life I have in the sand has to be good for the system .So with sand now in and rock structures done time for the big fill .

All water used is what I have saved over time of my small cube ,once I have it filled then I will link it to the sump .my thoughts where that I would have high readings of no3 and po4 ,it did not bother me over time these would be reduced by my algae sump .Concidering I did not cure a lot of my rock ,my no3 and po4 droped fast ,in fact I have reduced my water changers to about 25l a week and feeding the system and corals to increase colour .One thing I have noticed is that my corals PE Seem more so with out skimming ,so that tells me there is more food in the system for the corals .

I have now let it settle for a few weeks and done two small water changes ,got some algae coming out of the rockwork but it will burn its self out .After it had settled down and I was happy with parameters I added some frags to the rockwork ,these are only small but I think it looks better when they grow .

Some close up shots of my frags now ,tank was filled with water on the 12th August 2011 so it is still very early stages but I am happy with progress.
