my new tank

Nice set up but I noticed the hose clamps on the return pump in your sump. Those WILL rust.

yeah i know they will. the hose fits so tight i am not sure it even needs them anymore. I may just take them off and see if i can find some big plastic ones. the store i was at only has plastic ones in small sizes.

my ammonia cycle ended back in september there was not really atrue cycle since i did an immediate transfer of cured rock into my DT and then cycled dry rock in a seperate container to fill it out. I have already gone to battle with diatoms and green hair algae which is the reason why i am running phosban reactors now. I would not hesitate to put just about any fish into my tank as it is for the most part ver very stable as far as the parameters are concerned. The only ones i would shy away from are ones that need an esablished system with lots of pods etc for feeding.

Is there some reason that you are not adding to yours?

No, I am working a lot so ive just been making sure my system looks good with zero algae which I could add just about anything like you said, and except fish require pods..

I am at that stage to start adding very soon, :fish1: your system is looking good.

How is everything doing Blownsvt?

really well. have a couple new additions. I finally found a diamond goby that was not teeny tiny and got him. hoping it will help keep the sand clean and stirred in the spots my powerheads cant seem to get. I also got a yellow acropora that my wife saw and really wanted. I will get pics tomorrow when there is enough light.

Thanks blownsvt. Looking good. I think he will do great in the tank as well as the coral.

seems i may have lost another chromis. started with 6 and only had 5 by the next day. those 5 had been good for over a week and seemed to be getting along fine but this morning at feeding my wife says only 4 came out and she can't find the 5th one. Guess i will have to look around when i get home from work tonight.

found the little buggar in the overflow. what a PITA esspeciall because he is on the side where i have a 14 foot drop and can't stand over there. retarded fish.
