well im copying everyone else and going smaller. im pretty sure im going with the same tank as dave but only 18" tall. so it will be 30"*30"*18". i will also do my own overflow. i plan to order it this coming week, just not sure if the tank will be in stock. i also plan to get the stand like daves, and do an open top using the 250 lumenarc pendent i am running on my 120. this will probably be the first tank ive done that may have a finished stand. so lets hope the tank is available and i can get it soon and get started.

updates coming soon

well its ordered and in stock. so i should have it this weekend. but i did make one change. i went 24*24*18. alot smaller but should be less time consuming than what i have now. the only other delima i have is all my current equipment is way over sized. asm g4, 2 vortechs, 2- 250 watt halides. looks like i'll have to get rid of a few things and get more new stuff. if anyone needs any of the above let me know.

Well, I need some stuff. Ill talk to you about what youve got in person next itme I see you. You may have to remind me though :D Ive usually got other stuff on the brain when you are around.....

well i got the tank today, but stand came in for the 18*18. i may end up after all building one as the 24*24 does not come with removable sides like the 30*30. i plan to post pics on this one as soon as i do something

just ordered my lights. i found a new company that got good reviews from the nano-reef.com forum. its a 150 halide with 4 24" t5s. all for less than $250 shipped. who knows they may be crap.

i had to be creative with my sumps. i was able to squeeze a 20 high as a sump and a 10 gallon side by side as my auto top off. with not a mm of room to spare. the 20 has no baffles but i did make a pvc bubble trap for the drain. seems to work so far.

i used 1" pvc inside of 2"pvc. the 2" runs to 1/2" from bottom and 1" run about 7" from the bottom i then drilled holes in the 2" to allow air to escape. me and jimmy did this with a glass box once and it worked fine. so i gave this a shot, and it seems to work just as well. i hope to have the lights this coming week. more pics to come soon

the sides do not remove but i have room to work from the front. if i need to remove a sump i have to pull it out from the back.
