My new toy!

So my new skimmer got here today. Quick background is that I don't have Paypal and luckily the person selling the skimmer I wanted was a TEAM RC member. I had no issues or worries with paying via money order...so I mailed out the $$ and sat back waiting for my new toy. (the wife was not so confident with all of the horror stories I've read her in the buyer/seller feedback section...people being mailed rocks and dumbells etc)

So anyway, I picked up the pump that will run the skimmer this morning: Reeflo Barracuda with the Baldor motor.

Then FedEx gets here about an hour ago. I walk out to meet the delivery man since I know I have to sign. He does not have his 'pleasant face' on as he usually does. He gets the box down off the truck and it's pretty mangled. My heart sank right away. Now granted I got a smoking deal on it and it's still BRAND NEW...but that doesn't mean I'd be happy with just getting my $$ back. I want the skimmer!! Before I let myself hyperventilate I just took some pics to show the seller the condition I received the box in, in case there were any damage issues:

After moving about 8,000,000,000 foam peanuts I found this:

Ahhhh, what a beauty. My new MRC MR6R...and it got here in one piece! (well actually it got here in a bunch of pieces, but no damage) :lol:

What a beast.

Obviously I expected the worst when I saw the box. Packing peanuts saved my life...LITERALLY. The 'ol lady would have :blown: or :uzi: if we got hosed on this deal. Again, I had no worries since the seller is a member of TEAM RC.

The seller said he put $30 worth of peanuts in the box. lol
 
thank god!!!!! i was scared to open this thread to see your hooters he/she again. lol at the box, i thought the same thing. surprised the peanuts were still in the box. what size tank?
 
The tank is a 375 (8'x30"x30") but I don't know how much water will be in the system yet. I have room next to the tank for a few tanks/rubbermaid tubs. lol

i more question, did the kid come in the package cause me and the(me) cant have kids. if so i want that skimmer

I think you could skim Tampa bay with that thing. If the kid was extra, did he come in the same crappy packaging and 1,000,000,000 peanuts?
 
I think Fedex is stuck on stupid this month. I ordered some zoas from coralmorphalogic in Miami tuesday for wed delivery well to make a long story short through them forgetting it in Indiana, and Memphis then losing the label in Memphis I should be getting it today!
