Today I just went to my LFS store to get my first fish, and I got home with my little black oscellaris. He is the first fish of this tank! I acclimate him for an hour then release him to the tank. He just swim at the same spot, in the corner for hours and hours. Sometimes swim to another corner and just stay there. Also in the tank, there are small RBTA. I don't know will he host it or not. He didn't explore the tank yet, just swim in the corner so far. I will try to feed him with Formula1 later on. By the way, he got a Korean name "Han Tae Woong".

Here are some pics, sorry about the quality. :p

Thanks GSMguy, ah, after 4 hours after released him, i give him few pellets and he accept those if it's near him. Hope he gets out of the corner and explore his new house, my Tae Woong!

Thanks everyone. Ah, I currently live in Bangkok and I'm a student at Chulalongkorn University....

here a little clip of my newbie!

How's the salt water fish selection in Thai Land. I'm also originally from Thai Land. Hope to visit someday.

Right now it's pretty boom. You can get many beautiful corals and fish, and can order stuff too. You can get almost everything here. Also there are a club set up to help new beginners.

plus you have cheap livestock 5 dollar carpet anemones and 8 dollar clownfish

we pay 70 bucks or more for carpets and much more for reds and blues that you have in large numbers. your lucky to be in thailand really.

Wow that looks like my clown! She's such a character, always swimming to the front of the tank to say hello and will readily eat from my hand.

Don't worry about yours being shy... it'll take a little while to settle down. Mine swam in the current at the back of the tank for a good few days before getting brave enough to explore. Now she goes all over the place!

Beautiful looking tank! I look forward to seeing its progress. :D

Thanks everyone ...yesterday TaeWoong just sleep near a rock. Hope today he find a better sleeping place. Since there are no other fish, I think he will settle down very soon.

ATXaquarist - no, I didn't live at dorm. My house is like 5-10minutes drive to University. By the way, are you Thai? You want to study at Thai college?

I'll keep the update on my clown and my tank!

Today I tried to feed him with Formula1 pellets. I turned off the pump since the pellets sink like rocks. I fed him one pellet a time. He accepted the first 4 pellets then stop eating. Also i tried raw shrimp and he eat a bit. Everything sounds OK right?

By the way, can anyone suggest me a good flake or pellets that didn't sink that quick? I don't want to turn off my pump every time feeding.

He seems to be happy and swim all around the tank. I saw his poops, a bit white. I hope nothing to worry about!

Thanks very much!!

thanks!

I feed him twice a day. He accepted 3-4 pellets each time. By the way, he didn't care about any corals in the tank, or even my rbta. He just sleep on the bottom of the tank.

Criminal, I used crushed corals. Many people said it sucks. But most also said that it will be fine, if you just vacuum it. So far, i love it.

Thanks
