Hello folks - figured I'd drop in an say "hello". Life is busy, and as you'll see in a moment about to get busier! Been working on tons of stuff like learning some new software to re-do my offices website. Also decided to get more serious about my color management, so I ordered a wide gamut NEC monitor! My color management has always been spotty and I decided it's time to get that in order.

I also find myself in uncharted territory with "people" pictures :). In about 5 weeks it's going to be new born pictures. Splurged on some lighting gear so I am trying to sort all that out. Sort of fun to be in a new element. Here's the results of my first "shoot" with my wife!

Oh boy....real professional model behavior :).

Then there were the usual subjects, wildlife :). My game-cam catches them a lot, and I see them once in a while too. This time however the posse hung around a bit. Well, like a half an hour actually! I had a great time taking pic off my deck :))) of these critters. Got some good stuff with them up in trees, wrestling, mom and a cub playing. I'm taking time to appreciate all these wonderful things too. Been very luck, blessed even.

Just some I-phone shots of the back oy my camera. Need to process these still.

Congratulations on what will likely be your most cherished and challenging subject!

Good for you for pursuing another aspect / type of photography and exploring additional lighting and color management.

I look forward to seeing the results.

Do NOT qt the new addition!!

Also refrain from drip acclimation.

Mine is 10 months old, and makes the reef seem easy lol.

Thanks Ken. It's sure to be an interesting ride. In all the years I've bene doing photography I've never really used much if any flash!
