on some rocks in my display. Is there anything I can do to help them?
Or is it too late this time around?

I have a lot of other fish in the tank so removing everybody is out.

How often do they lay eggs?

Just out of curiosity, I recently had a a problem where I accidentally lowered the salinity to .30. Could that have triggered the mating?

Lowered it to .30? Is that a typo? The salinity should be at 1.026.

Anyways, there is nothing that you can do about it now, just let nature take its course. In 7-10 days they will hatch and be a free meal for your tank --- though I wouldn't be surprised if they end up eating the batch of eggs, it is fairly common for the first batch or two not to be fertilized correctly and not be viable, so they eat them. Once they are settled in to spawning it should happen every two weeks or so.

If you are truly interested in raising the fry (( not the easiest thing to do )) I would suggest getting Joyce Wilkerson's book. Basically you are going to have to raise food for the fry, and a separate tank to rear them in. Most will end up putting a ceramic tile in the tank, so that they lay the eggs on that, to make it easier to remove the eggs.
