My only gripe about Streams

Roger,

Mabey you can talk to the Germans and get back to me on this one...

So I finally decided it was time to clean my 6000 last night. I unplugged it and reached into the tank and pulled it out. I then realized there was no way to unplug it from its control box. So there I stood with it dripping on my carpet, while I grabbed a screwdriver and unmounted the control from under the stand.

Why dont they have a disconnect? One at the box, or in the middle of the cord would be great.

Because if you disconnect it with the power on you will destroy the pump or driver. The pump can be unplugged but you have to first open the driver, in engineering psychology they refer to this as a "forcing feature" it forces you to unplug the power before opening the box and disconnecting the pump.

I guess they should lose the screw holes on the driver then and include velcro like they do on the single/multi controller. Then at least you could just pull it off.

Other than that, I love my stream. By far the best product I've bought so far in this hobby!
