Well, I had to do it this time, after a long awaited 2 yrs to actually find one .. Memfish had him or her lol my very own Peacock Mantis and Love!! it I do .. Thanks to my Better half I think (j/K) Ihavtats,aka butthead,aka Jim got him for me or her.
Note: The tank it is in right now is only temporary, and its in a 10 gallon tank, I will be upgrading in the future lol.. When he is curled up, he looks like a golf ball and he is abt 5 to 6 inch long ..
Tada here he or her is .. Right now, I named it Big Hoss lol ( Cause i wanted too)Will be adding better pictures in the future

Thanks for letting me know Vikki ... I am so excited having him here or her lol .. i still need to post a better pic to identify it on the Mantis Thread .. that way I can quit calling it IT lol ..
 
this is mantis #3 we had , n.wennerea, and gave him to dave '' snakemanvet '' , to make room for our g.smithi, we set up a new tank for this guy today.
 
Sorry if the pictures are comming up a little cloudy lol the tank hasn't fully cleared yet since it is a new set up tonight .. but his or her color's do not do justice once you her it in person .. But I am just sharing more pics .. as much as I can hehehe !!

He is Very neat. I always thought about getting one but I didn't have the tank or the room to setup a species only for it. Its kool to see pics of a local one. Way to go!
 
hey dave, im glad you are having fun with them lol what is thier personality like now .. this one here is a curious little george .. hehe, plus have they grown much ?

Sharing another pic ... Jim was Feeding it earlier and I felt bad for the Snail lol but it still was funny how it was snappin on the shell

he will get 7'' and can break glass , either you would have a dead eel or a dead stamotopod , they must be kept in a spec only tank
 
Darlene, did she already kill a fish? In the pic showing her tail, it looks like there is a little fish lying in the gravel.
